1. Privacy Policy

1.1 Who We Are

TradeSchool is an educational trading application developed by Alfred Rajasekar ("we", "us", "our"). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the TradeSchool mobile application ("the App").

1.2 Information We Collect

We collect minimal data to provide the App's functionality:

• Device Identifier: A randomly generated unique ID (UUID) created on your device when you first open the App. This is used to track your learning progress, quiz scores, paper trading portfolio, and achievements. It is not linked to your Apple ID, name, email, or any personal information.
• Learning Progress: Which lessons you have completed, quiz scores, and achievement status — stored on our server, associated with your device ID only.
• Paper Trading Data: Virtual portfolio balances, simulated trade history, and positions — stored on our server, associated with your device ID only.
• Profile Information (optional): If you choose to set a display name or profile photo, these are stored locally on your device only and are never transmitted to our servers.

1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, or contact details
• Your Apple ID or App Store account information
• Your location or GPS data
• Your contacts, photos, or files (photo picker access is local only)
• Financial information, bank details, or real trading account data
• Advertising identifiers or tracking data
• Analytics or usage metrics (no third-party analytics SDKs are used)

1.4 How We Use Your Information

The device identifier and associated data are used solely to:

• Save and restore your learning progress across app sessions
• Maintain your paper trading portfolio and trade history
• Track achievement and quiz completion

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, marketing, or any purpose other than providing the App's core educational functionality.

1.5 Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted on Microsoft Azure (Australia East region). All communication between the App and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data.

1.6 Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share your data with any third parties. Your data is never disclosed to advertisers, analytics providers, or any external organisation.

1.7 Data Retention

Your learning progress and paper trading data are retained for as long as you use the App. Since we do not collect identifying information, we cannot link your data to you personally. If you delete the App, the locally stored device ID is removed. Server-side data associated with that device ID may be retained but cannot be traced back to any individual.

1.8 Children's Privacy

TradeSchool is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App contains financial education content suitable for users aged 12 and above.

1.9 Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services:

• Yahoo Finance API: To retrieve delayed market data (stock prices, candlestick charts). No personal data is sent to Yahoo Finance — only stock ticker symbols are queried.
• Microsoft Azure: Cloud infrastructure hosting our backend services and database.
• Expo / EAS: Used for building and distributing the App. No user data is shared with Expo.

1.10 Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data by viewing your progress, portfolio, and achievements within the App
• Delete your paper trading data using the "Reset Portfolio" feature in the App's Profile settings
• Delete your learning progress using the "Reset Learning Progress" feature (coming soon)
• Contact us at Alfred.Rajasekar@outlook.com to request full deletion of your server-side data

1.11 Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

3.1 Acceptance

By downloading and using TradeSchool, you agree to these terms, the privacy policy, and the financial disclaimer above.

3.2 Permitted Use

TradeSchool is licensed for personal, non-commercial, educational use. You may not:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the App
• Use the App's signals or analysis as the sole basis for real trading decisions
• Attempt to access other users' data or interfere with the App's servers
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App

3.3 Intellectual Property

All content within TradeSchool — including lessons, quizzes, signal algorithms, and user interface design — is the intellectual property of Alfred Rajasekar. All rights reserved.

3.4 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, any losses arising from reliance on trading signals or educational content.

3.5 Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010). Where applicable, our liability is limited to the amount paid for the App.

3.6 Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
